Angus
Ales is a micro-brewery in the famous Scottish golf town of Carnoustie. The
operators, Alan Lawson and Graeme Duguid, started brewing for sale in
October, 2009. The brewery states that this is the first brewery in the
county of Angus in over fifty years and the first in Carnoustie possibly
since the 1830s.
The brewery concentrates on brewing quality real (cask-conditioned) ales brewed with high quality ingredients and water from the Angus Hills.
Not surprisingly, Angus' ales are named after golfing themes. It is great that they are bringing real beer of high quality to the golfing masses that visit Carnoustie. Far better than the usual continental lagers on offer.
Scottish Brewing will provide more details once more information about the firm becomes available.
